Phil joined the company earlier this year as one of our newest software engineers. Let’s get to know him a little better with 5 quick questions…
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I grew up in South Bend, Indiana and also spent some time in Chicago. I moved to Cincinnati about ten years ago. I have a B.S. degree in Computer Science. I have a daughter who is a freshman in college and a son who is a sophomore in high school. My first project with QC Software was writing a PLC emulator for a new site.
If you could go anywhere where would that be?
I love traveling so it is difficult to narrow it down to just one place. But since you ask, I’d say that Australia, Ireland, Israel, and maybe even Iceland would be on my list.
What is the best thing about working at QC Software?
For me working on warehouse automation applications is new and very fascinating. I have really enjoyed learning how various aspects of the software work and interact with the warehouse.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy pretty much all sports, particularly basketball, football, and hockey. I also enjoy traveling and geocaching.
What’s something about you that not many people know?
I once had the chance to meet Meadowlark Lemon of the Harlem Globetrotters and get an autographed basketball.
